From the A55:
From the A55 take the slip road marked 'Caernarfon’ and continue for approximately 8 miles. Continue through Caernarfon on the A487 past Tesco and straight across the roundabout and bridge. Take the turning to the right signposted at the end of the bridge and then turn immediately right again for the Caravan Park called ‘Coed Helen’. Continue past Coed Helen (to the right) and you will see the Castle on your right. The Golf Club is approximately ¾ mile from the Castle.
Follow BLUE ROUTE (shown below), Cars & Mini Buses.
Buses and Coaches are advised to follow the alternative RED ROUTE shown on the map. It's still quite narrow but avoids a very sharp bend on the blue route unsuitable for full size coaches to negotiate.
From Porthmadog A487/A499
A487 turn left at the bridge and proceed as above.
| Through the Town Approaching from the A55 Morrisons Supermarket is on the right. At the second roundabout next to Morrisons take the second exit onto the 4 lane flyover and proceed past the Eagles Hotel keeping to the right hand lane and bearing right then left past theTexaco garage which is on your right. Continue past McDonalds and Tesco to the next roundabout. Go straight across the roundabout onto the bridge over the river Seiont. Take the turning to the right (signposted golf) at the end of the bridge and then turn immediately right again for the Caravan Park called ‘Coed Helen’. (Buses andCoaches should follow the alternative route shown on the map above). Continue past Coed Helen caravan park (bearing to the right) and you will see the Castle on your right about 400 yards ahead (the road is narrow and winding downhill). The Golf Club is approximately ½ to ¾ mile from the Castle along the sea front. Upon arrival please park in the bottom car park and visit the Professional's shop to confirm your arrival and numbers. Coaches and Buses must park in the bottom car park and reverse into the area on the right (directly below the clubhouse). Tea & Coffee available early morning. Breakfasts by prior arrangement only. |
