CAPTAIN'S DAY 2007 |

| A rescheduled Captain's Day 2007 turned out to be an enjoyable success for Captain John Williams.There were fears of another postponement after severe weather on the previous day closed the course. However, on the day the weather continued to improve culminating in blue skies and bright sunshine. Over 120 members plus several guests took part and the day was rounded off with a 'Buddy Holly' Tribute Act after the Captain's prize ceremony. |

The Captain's Day competition was won by big hitting Arfon Hughes (pic right) who scored a round of 76 gross playing off a handicap of 14 (nett 62) Arfon only took up golf 2 years ago and has progressed rapidly. Arfon enjoys the social side of the club as well and afterwards celebrated his victory with his friends in the clubhouse bar. |
