 CAPTAIN'S CHARITY 2007

The Captain's Charity for 2007 is the Arfon Community Link which provides one to one respite and day care for physically and mentally disabled adults.

On Saturday the 10th November 2007 the Captain held a Charity Gala Dinner to raise funds for his Charity.

The Guest Speaker introduced by Master of Ceremonies Dafydd J Jones was Mr. Winston Roddick CB QC who entertained the formal Black Tie audience with several interesting and highly amusing stories from the 'Bar'.

The audience enjoyed the remainder of the evening in the company of popular local vocalist Jonathan Davies who is also a member of the club. 

 

Johnathan provided the perfect end to a very enjoyable evening reeling off several 'swing' numbers in quick succession.

 

It is hoped that similar formal charity evenings can be held at the club in the future                                                 

The evening was a great success and raised hundreds of pounds for the Captain's Charity.

 

The Captain in his earlier response thanked Winston Roddick and all those who had helped to organise the evening and make it such a success. He also thanked the Caterer and Bar staff for the excellent meal and service. 

 

 

The Captain has also held several Charity Golf Competitions at the club over the summer months in support of his charity. Anyone wishing to support the Captain's charity can do so by contacting the Captain via the Secretary or by donating a cheque through the Secretary.
